Walk & Talk Counselling in Bristol

Walk and Talk therapy is where we bring the counselling outside, and walk whilst we have our session, rather than sitting inside.

Benefits of 'Walk and Talk'

  • Being outside in nature has proven mental health benefits.

  • Light exercise can be energising and can help us think and express ourselves better.

  • During COVID-19 we can have safer in-person sessions.

  • Nature can help us to connect to a more spiritual or peaceful side of ourselves.

  • The weather and surroundings can often allow us to express our emotions more fully.

How it Works

  • I will meet you at a designated spot usually near the Avon path or at another agreed place.

  • We will walk throughout the session, but there will be time to sit or stand still, to notice our surroundings, or to take a break whenever you choose.

  • Sessions will last 50-60 minutes. Fees are £60 per session.

  • We will make our way back to the same meeting spot a few minutes before the end of the session.

  • I have a 'whatever the weather' policy, so we will meet come rain or shine (except in extreme or dangerous conditions), so it's important to bring appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather.

I will arrange an initial consultation by telephone or Zoom to discuss any further Walk and Talk considerations and assess the suitability of this way of working for you.
